Boulders of Garnetiferous Skarn - on the side of a path west of the main coast path - north of Botallack
Light brown pod-like segregation of Garnet in foliated basic Skarn ( Metamorphic Calc - Silicate Rocks) .
Garnet tends to form closest to intrusions.

To the north of Botallack Mine in a small walled Quarry , near a Trig Point ,
are Vertical Isoclinal Folds in Devonian Rocks (basic metasomatic hornfels)
Heat from the Granite Intrusion formed Hornfels from Slates and Siltstones.
Close to the Granite Intrusion this attractive Black and White Rock with bands of
Tourmaline and Quartz was formed
