Large Feldspar Crystals / Porthgwarra (S18)
The rocks at Porthgwarra Cove show Granites with Large Feldspar Crystals.
When the molten magma cooled , 300 - 270 Million Years ago , crystallisation took place very slowly forming
coarse grained rocks with large crystals (Phenocrysts).
