Purple and Green Slates - Greenaway Beach
The bands of the Devonian Age Purple and Green Slates are a distinctive feature of the Headland
at the northern end of Greenaway Beach.
The Purple Slates have formed in the presence of Ferric Iron .
The Green Slates in the presence of Ferrous Iron.
