Lamprophyre Dyke - Helford River (S25)

A Dyke of Igneous rock intruded into the Sandstone/ Grey Slates of the
Portscatho Formation , on the Northern bank of the Helford River.
Lamprophyre is a hydrothermally altered ,fine-medium grained , reddish
brown rock intruded at or just before the main period of Granite Intrusion, a
type of Rock found in Cornwall and Devon.

The Dyke is to the east of Shag Rock - between Parson's Beach and Rosemullion Beach .
