A view from near Hoe Point over Sydney Cove at the western end of Praa Sands .
From this viewpoint an Elvan Dyke , a south-east trending Rhyolite ( a fine grained acidic lava similar to Granite ) ,
can be clearly seen cutting across the rocky foreshore.
