Maen Dower - Raised Beach
Maen Dower / Nanquidno beach is a granite boulder beach .
A Low tide gives a fine view of the raised beach .
A storm beach of rounded granite boulder is at the cliff base
with a raised beach deposit on an old wave cut platform some 3-4m above current high tides ,
overlain by a periglacial head of clay bound angular gravels and rock.
