Sandstone - Sandy Mouth (S6)
Close to the path off the beach are some impressive views of the thick beds of 'The Bude Formation' Sandstone
with thin interbeds of dark shale.

The strong rusty brown colour of the Bude Sandstone is due to a layer of Iron Oxide on the fracture surfaces.
