Ding Dong Mine - 1 - Greenburrow Shaft
The 40" Pumping Engine House (1865) at Greenburrow Shaft can be seen for miles .
The mine ceased working on July 11th 1877 , following an unsuccessful attempt to sell it as a going concern at auction
Nearby is a 30 "engine house and a 25" whim engine house over the Tredinneck Shaft in the east of the mining area.
The Ding Dong mine is in an old mining area .
In 1714 Good Fortune, Wheal Malkin and Hard Shafts Bounds Mines were operating. In 1782 there were sixteen working mines including Ding Dong.
