Hartland Quay
A view over the slipway leading down to Warren Beach
A quay was built here in the late 1500s .
It survived numerous Atlantic storms but was finally abandoned in 1893 when the Railway reached Bideford.
The harbour buildings - Merchants House and Stores - were converted into the hotel and shop.
