The Chapel Of St Michael - Rame Head - possibly of Norman Origin ,
single cell rectangular building with a stone vaulted roof , first recorded in 1397.
It is likely there was a resident priest / watchman who kept watch along the coast ,
lighting a bonfire as a warning beacon . Restored in 1882 .
Rame headland is the site of an Iron Age Cliff Castle with a single ditch.
The foundation of a WW2 Gun Emplacement adjoins the south side of the Chapel.
