On the east side of Porthmeor Cove is a small Granite Intrusion into the Country Rocks
( Mylor Slates and Greenstone ).
A round area of granite (cupola) with thin granite veins - where the molten granite forced its way along cracks
in the bedrock is surrounded by the darker Country rocks
