The wall and pier (1770) created a safe harbour for the fishing fleet .
St Ives and Padstow being the two major fishing ports along the North Cornwall Coast..
An extensive sandy beach appears here on a lowtide
The tall tower of the Church (1434) can be seen all over the town.
