The 36-inch pumping-engine house of West Wheal Owles (Cargodna).
Closed after a mining disaster in 1893 , which flooded the mine workings killing 20 miners.
Botallack took up the lease and explored for Pitchblende (Uranium Ore).
Pitchblende was recovered in the 1950's for Atomic Research
