
About 1.5km east of Kennack Sands is this view over Spernic Cove to Lankidden Headland ,
the site of an Iron Age Hillfort , with a stack 'Carrick Luz' (grey rock) close to the head.
The headland is largely a dyke / sheet of Gabbro (a dark igneous rock) ,
cutting through the Serpentine (serpentised peridotite) .
Pods of Serpentine are incorporated in the Gabbro.
