Langstone Moor Stone Circle
Langstone Moor Stone Circle

Looking across a section of the Circle , White Tor in the distance.
The circle is located on the southern side of the flattish summit of Langstone Moor ridge , with 17 stones of which
11 are standing and 6 fallen ,
forming an imperfect circle , of about 20m diameter. The stones average 1.0 meters high .
The stone circle was partly restored in 1894 by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee.

Located on the edge of the Merrivale Firing Range "Danger Area", about 800m South East of
The Langstone Standing Stone .
A path from the Standing Stone curves around the boggy Langstone Moor to the Circle.
There is a good path from north of 'Roos Tor' which leads straight to the Circle.
