Houndtor Down - Ring Cairn / Cist
A Ring Cairn south west of Hound Tor , 6.5m diameter with an incomplete ring of at least 19 granite stones.
In the centre of the Cairn is a north to south orientated Cist , with both end stones and the western side stone remaining visible.
The Cist containing a Burial ( 2000-3000BC) would have been covered with a stone slab and then covered with soil .
