Just off the Coast Path , a short walk uphill to this notable landmark.
Dartmouth Harbour is notoriously difficult to find from the sea.
This 80ft Navigation aid was built in 1864 for the Dartmouth Harbour Commissioners.
The pierced hollow tower has 8 piers on an Octagonal base .
Visible for miles offshore , it helped mariners find the Dartmouth Harbour entrance.
