The Stepped Chimney Stack of the Carn Brea Mine at Tregajorran.
The adjoining stamps-engine house was built in 1837 for a 32 in engine to drive initially 40 Cornish Stamps .
Stamps were used to crush the ore to a fine sand.
Carn Brea monument in the distance.
The ruins are at the Western end of Carn Brea Sett , one of the largest Setts in Cornwall ,
which ran from Tregajarron to near Carn Brea Village.
