Pillow Lava - Kellan Head (S10)

Pillow Lava is found exposed in the cliffs at Kellan Head and further to the west on Doyden Point and Trevan Point.
The Pillow Lavas in this area are highly Vesicular with tiny holes visible in the rocks.
As Volcanic Magma nears the surface , pressure is reduced and gas dissolved in the magma is able to
form vesicles (gas bubbles ).
