On the west side of Mill Bay is Zawn Reeth (Red Cave) with a Stack - Diamond Horse .
The Scilly Islands Telegraph Company layed cables in 1869 and again in 1870
from St Mary's to a Telegraph office on the cliff top above Zawn Reeth.
