Carnewas Island
Carnewas Island

The Island is to the west of Carnewas Point and the Southern stack of Bedruthan Steps.
The National Trust shop , once the count house or mine office, and the café -
converted mine buildings are above Carnewas Point .
Mining took place at Carnewas in the 19th century with miners tunnelling into the cliffs from the beach
in search of iron, copper and lead.
