There are two engine houses on Crowns Rock .

On the cliffs above amongst the old buildings is a modern head-frame - erected over the refurbished
Allen's shaft near to the Botallack Counthouse , for Geevor Mine.
Unfortunately the crash in the price of tin in 1985 stopped its use and in 1990 the Geevor Mine itself finally closed.
